Bamunka, Ndop
Serving communities in Bamunka and the Ndop plain
Bamunka, in Ndop, lies on the fertile plain of Ngoketunjia Division — historically one of the North West's most productive farming areas, and a place where many displaced families have sought safety.
What we do here
Our work in the Ndop area centres on agricultural livelihoods and food assistance, alongside water and sanitation, education support and protection.
Farming as the route back
Where displaced families can access land, agricultural support offers the fastest route from dependence on distributions back to feeding themselves. We work with host communities on land access arrangements as well as with the families themselves.
Pressure on host communities
A large displaced population places real strain on water points, schools, health facilities and land. Our work is designed to strengthen those shared services rather than only to serve displaced households.
Stand with the families we serve
A gift to Caritas Bamenda becomes food on a table, a roof over a displaced family, clean water in a village, a child back in school.
