Wum

Wum is the main town of Menchum Division and a centre for the surrounding rural communities. It has received significant numbers of displaced people from surrounding areas.

Working with communities

Our teams work directly with community leaders and community-based organisations to identify vulnerable displaced households and the host families supporting them — an approach that has shaped how assistance is targeted here.

Access and security

Access to Wum and the surrounding communities varies with the security situation and the season. Maintaining a local presence and local relationships is what allows us to continue working when movement is restricted.
